All fiction is speculative, but I prefer the term speculative fiction because it gives me great leeway to dabble in and blend all my favorite genres: sci-fi, fantasy, magical realism, comedic realism, etc.

I’ve been submitting fiction for years, but I’m tired of dealing with the lag time of the print world and would rather use fun new tools to deliver my work directly to readers.

I’ve never had any fiction published in print, but my adult-life fiction wordcount passed a million sometime last year.

As of today I’m about 30% finished with my End of the Iron Age trilogy, but I should start podcasting the first book this fall. soon.

I love listening to and creating audio fiction, but sometimes my hillbilly comes out, especially if I’ve been drinking with other people with accented English.

I currently live in an Appalachian valley, but I’ve traveled extensively and have lived in South Korea and Thailand.

I’m excited that my wife is having a baby, but I’m also scared shitless.

I’m happy to provide you with entertainment, but I’ll be sad if enjoy my work and don’t subscribe.
